Best place for lunch in Bermondsey. Great pastas and paninis. You definitely need to try the Roma. A pulled pork and bacon panini in a crispy roll warmed up to create a heaven sandwhich.
The pastas are really good to to grab if you want something warm and filling. The pesto chicken is my favourite but they are all good.
This place does have seeing but nor too much! And does get queues at lunch time so be prepared for a small wait!

Eat Alia might be what comes to mind when you describe a restaurant as a 'hole in the wall.' Long and narrow, this little deli is stuffed to the brims come lunch time, not unlike their paninis! These delicious morsels come in every assortment of flavours, so choosing can be rather difficult. And by the time you've entered the queue there are about 5 other people already behind you ready to order!
I finally decided on the parma ham, mozza, tomato, and spinach, which came together beautifully in a soft brown bread. The flavours were very nice, if not a tad on the salty side (I did order the parma ham, so I only have myself to blame for that one). With a homemade lemonade on the side, this lunch really hit the spot. I particularly loved the mozza cheese, which was a soft and mellow balance to the ham.
My dining companion opted for one of the vegetarian panini, with courgette and sundried tomatoes, which she very much enjoyed. That being said, they are quite filling for sandwiches, and neither of us finished them! Eat Alia, is better for takeaway anyway, so we wrapped our leftovers to go and went on our way!
Great paninis and Italian treats. Excellent service. Hidden gem of Bermondsey
